About the Program:

The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is a professional teacher education program affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU) and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Government of India. The program is designed for graduates who aspire to build a career in teaching and educational leadership. A B.Ed. degree is a mandatory qualification for teaching at the upper primary and secondary school levels in India.

The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with extensive field-based learning through school internships, practical teaching experiences, projects, and community engagement. It adopts an interdisciplinary approach to teacher education, enabling students to understand the diverse needs of learners and the evolving educational landscape.

The program includes specialized training in Information Technology (IT) skills, techno-pedagogical practices, performing arts, visual arts, physical education, and Functional English to enhance communication and professional competencies. It also encourages students to engage with educational issues of national and international importance while developing a comprehensive understanding of the teacher’s role in a culturally diverse society.

With a vision to prepare competent, ethical, and innovative educators, the program equips future teachers with the knowledge, skills, and values required to contribute effectively to nation-building and educational excellence.

Students from different academic backgrounds are trained to teach subjects aligned with their specialization. Arts graduates are prepared to teach subjects such as History, Political Science (Civics), Geography, Economics, Languages, and Social Sciences, while Science graduates receive training to teach Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and other science-related subjects.

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Candidates with B.E./B.Tech. must have a minimum of 55% marks.
  • SC/ST candidates: As per applicable government and university norms.
  • Admission is granted through the Uttar Pradesh B.Ed. Joint Entrance Examination (UP B.Ed. JEE).
